Babylon ~ The Harlot Church System

Babylon Harlot Church System The term Babylon takes us to the book of Genesis Chapter 10 and verse 10, where we see the city of Babel being built. This is the beginning of man’s open rebellion against God’s commands of Genesis 9:1. In just over 100 years man was again producing giants and rebelling against Yahweh.

The Babel of Genesis 11 is seen as having three systems: The religious system, the political system, and the commercial system.

The religious system was one world religion. The term “before the Lord” means in open rebellion before Yahweh. The tower was an organized effort to bring people to a central location and to unite their allegiance. The people worshiped the sun, moon, and stars. Some worshiped idols, beast, and various spiritual gods. A temple at its apex would provide a center and an altar where man could offer their sacrifices and worship of their particular god(s).

The sign of the Zodiac would be emblazoned on the ornate ceiling and walls of the temple signifying the great story of creation as told by the ancient patriarchs. The beauty and sacred purpose of the tower would, in the reasoning of the people, surely please God and compensate in part for the fact that the entire project was contrary to God’s commandment and would glorify human achievement rather than recognize divine salvation. Cain’s offering was not acceptable to God, nor was Nimrod’s magnificent tower. Nimrod was the great grandson of the cursed Canaan. The rebellious nature of Canaan passed down to Nimrod. The rituals of worship to the sun, moon, and stars soon required a class of priests and priestess to carry on the process of worship. The results were temple prostitution and homosexual rituals in the temple. Romans, chapter one, says that when they knew GOD they glorified him not as God. Soon they were sacrificing children in the fire in their perverted form of tower worship.

The commercial Babylon was to organize labor into huge gangs of men who were contracted to construct public buildings, roads, walls, towers, and canals. Genesis 11:3-4 says, “…let us make brick and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone and slime had they for mortar. …Let us build us a city and a tower…lest we be scattered on the face of the whole earth.” With a population of approximately 9,000 they were able to construct great monuments to their industry and not to the glory of God.

In the reign of Hammurabi, contractor’s built homes, and various business building. The trade centers lined the coast of Tigris and Euphrates. Tradesmen from the entire known world passed through Babylon. It was considered the world’s largest commercial center. Trade was very extensive. A common way of doing business was for a merchant to entrust goods or money to a traveling agent, who sought a market for his goods. The caravans traveled far beyond the limits of the empire. On their return, the principal must give a receipt for what was handed over to him.

Great coliseums impacted the Babylonian world with various kinds of games for entertainment. It brought greats amount of income to the Babylonian system. Artist and players earned tremendous amounts of payment for their skill. The more gory the game, the more profit was made. It was the biggest part of people’s lives. Games were available almost everyday of the week.

The political Babylon centered on the unity and was enforced by their great leader Nimrod, which means “let us rebel.” He began to be a “mighty hunter,” which is believed to mean that he was a hunter of man or an enslaver of man. The term “mighty one” to describe Nimrod is the same word used for giants in Genesis chapter six. History records that he said to them, “Depart from the judgment of the Yahweh and adhere to the judgment of Nimrod.”

Nimrod’s plan was to have a one-world government and one leader of all people through mass unity. As “all one people” they would have no need for God. Nimrod would be god unto the people. Lucifer had found a body he could live in and be worshiped. He became the perfect blueprint of the coming Antichrist. God saw man’s purpose and declared “nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” The Lord confounded their language to squelch their rebellion so He would not have to destroy every living creature again and scattered them abroad. But the rebellion continued and is still continuing until the day of the Lord.

Hammurabi, the descendant of Nimrod, was the political ruler who chiefly established the greatness of Babylon, the world’s first metropolis. He accomplished what Nimrod was not able to succeed. He ruled the entire known world at that time know as Babylonia. By far the most remarkable of the Hammurabi records is code of laws, the earliest-known example of a ruler proclaiming publicly to this people an entire body of laws, arranged in orderly groups. The codes, which we call statutes today, then regulated in clear and definite strokes the organization of society. It was reserved for the genius of Hammurabi to make Babylon his metropolis and weld together his vast empire by a uniform system of law.

The temple occupied a most important position. It received from its estates, from tithes, and other fixed dues, as well as from the sacrifices and other offerings of the faithful.

Everyone had an identification number; the slaves were marked or branded with their identification number on the forearm of the arm or on their hand which could only be removed by a surgical operation.

What other Nation that you are familiar with has the preceding characteristics? The United States of America! The present day Babylonian system that covers the whole world as we know it today.

Hammurabi’s, (like Nimrod), plan was to have a one-world government and one leader of all people through mass unity. Hammurabi, was called Bel am I, the great god, making riches and increase, enriching the worship of many gods named Saggil, Sin, E-kur and many others. He became the master god unto the people and united all worshipers in to one. Lucifer had found another body he could live in and be worshiped. He became another perfect blueprint of the coming Antichrist.

The last testament of the bible foretells of God’s destruction in the end-time Babylon. This will bring unprecedented weeping and wailing. (Rev. 18) The Gospel records Yahshua prophesying of those who are involved in that system being cast into everlasting torment, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt. 24:51)

From its great beginning of spectacular power and demonstration of the perfection and power of God, there would arise a hope that the entire world would return to the place of holiness which was God’s plan for the world. But in two thousand years the world religion of these last days has paralyzed the church and now is carried on the back of the beast of World Government. It has little resemblance of the church that God began on the day of Pentecost. It was a separated, holy people unto HIMSELF who would not bow their knee to Caesar. It has little resemblance to the church that God bean on the day of Pentecost. No wonder the Revelator showed such amazement when given the view of the end-time religion!

The final chapter of the earthly church is outlined in Revelation 3:14. Passive to the law of God, adhering to the will of the populace, untouched by the power of grace, and lukewarm, described those who, having received the grace of God, had not allowed it full scope to bring forth repentance. There is more hope for an unconverted sinner than for him who, having once been roused to a sense of God’s will, has relapsed into a state of self-satisfied indolence and carelessness. Referring to this church verse 17 says, “…thou are wretched and miserable poor, and blind, and naked.”

In chapter 17 we see the final picture of the worldly church. Among bible scholars the majority interpret this as being the apostate church. This chapter outlines the disastrous results of this church, revealing that the end of the church age is described as that which is spiritually unfaithful to the true God. It sells favors for money, and comprises truth, willingly in exchange for the demonic, choosing to lavish on the world instead of the faithfulness, love and devotion which is due to God. The church has been compromised with improper relationships with this world. It has come to a place of self-reliance, self-inflicted insanity, and is wholly overcome with this sorcery. St. Thomas Aquinas, when shown the riches of an apostate Roman church, was admonished that no longer could they say, “silver and gold have we none.” His reply was, “neither can we say, “in the name of Yahshua Messiah of Nazareth rise and walk.”

The church began on the Day of Pentecost with wind and tongues of fire. The last day scene of a church in Revelation is of a drunken harlot decked with jewels and carried by world government. Hearers profess but practiced not. Yahshua/Jesus said, “I know you not.” The church began on the Day of Pentecost with power, holiness, and a clear message of separation, but is last referred to as consumed with murder of His saints drunken, unable to neither speak a clear audible message nor respond to the will of God. It is clothed with the clothes of a prostitute, in league with an antichrist system and living as the harlot of Babylon. At the end of the age it is clear to see we have come back to the three purposes of Nimrod once again. We have church operating Business Corporations in the commercial system of Babylon, we see the church uniting as one world religion, and the church now is in league with the Antichrist system of modern day Babylon.

The Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men built. (Gen. 11:5) God said as HE looked toward Sodom, “I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me.” God has come to our world today to see if “they have done altogether according to the cry of it.” God is a just God. Judgment would not be sent to Sodom and Babel more severely than any other civilization for the same transgression.

“And he said to me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever; and the house of Israel shall be no more defiled, and my holy name shall the house of Israel no more defile…..” But you Son of man show to the house of Israel this temple, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities which they transgressed against me; and let them study the pattern thereof.

The bride of Messiah can never be defined by systems, institutions, corporations, buildings, governmental orders, programs, formulas, creeds, doctrines, and rituals. The assembly of the called-out-ones is a people who are patterned after the person Yahshua (Jesus the Christ). He alone is the governor and the government of the Kingdom of God.

He is looking for a people, not a building. His building program is made up of living stones, not concrete blocks, lumber, and nails. He is looking for and rising up a people of faith, not some theological meeting to come up with a statement of faith and articles of incorporation for their new non-profit organization so they can operate in commerce. They take on the corporation status and begin to operate in the same structure. It’s business as usual. Train and hire staff to run it. Start the advertising. Make up brochures and buy ads to market it.

She is the harlot, the counterfeit to the bride of Messiah. The trumpet is sounding: “Come out of her, My people!” Dare we face our idols, cleanse the temple, and return to the God of our salvation?
